The year is almost over! We feel community involvement is so important and are grateful to have opportunities to give back. Here's what we've done so far:
-sponsored a garden plot in our community
-provided infant massage instruction for parent groups
-provided gift certificates to several silent auction fundraisers
-participated in the Calgary Food Drive
Giving back and being part of a community is at the heart of our business. In 2023 we got to:
-sponsor a garden plot in Auburn Bay Community Garden
-donate to several silent auctions supporting youth teams
-participate in a fundraiser to support families affected by devastating fires
-volunteered with the Calgary Food Drive
-Became a sponsor for Team Algot, a U18 curling team!
-participated in a community sing-a-long at Christmas
We believe that everyone can do a little bit of good in their part of the world and we encourage you to see what you can do!
February 2022 we opened the clinic and decided right away that giving back to the community was going to be special for us! Here's the little bit we did in 2022.
-donated to the Auburn Bay Community Garden to provide a garden plot for a family.
-donated to a silent auction for the Axemen U12A Lacrosse Team to help them go to a tournament.
-volunteered with the Calgary Food Drive
-participated in a silent auction for I Belong Bags Foundation. They hosted an online auction and raised $3542 to help kids and teens in need.
-we ran our first clinic promotion! It was a surprise for everyone and very well received. We're excited to do this again.
Do you have a group that would like to know about massage therapy, safe space/safe touch, benefits of infant massage, movement and exercise you can do at home as well as the gym, or just questions about health, wellness and your body that you've been nervous or uncomfortable asking about? We're happy to come spend some time and share some info. We keep it low key, low stress with trauma informed care practices.
We're happy to talk with sports teams/kids sports teams about the importance (and fun) of warm-up and cool down time, how to "Be the Hero" by reporting injuries early, discuss safe Return to Play guidelines, and Concussion protocols for when hitting your head needs further help.
These are typically 20-30 minutes and as part of our community outreach, there is no cost to you.
